2018 Bono Birthday Card
This years card was so much fun and so rewarding to make! I usually don't make literal art, but I was inspired this year by U2's Experience and Innocence tour and the use of the "home" theme throughout. U2 have a song, Cedarwood Road, written about Bono's childhood, that I used as a basis. So, no I am not stalking when i googled images of it!
I created this 8" x 6" card carrier using acrylic paint, Golden Coarse Pumice Gel and an exacto knife:
Something burned into my brain forever was Bono opening the latch on the card we gave him in 2011. In addition, part of the tour this year is Bono opening the roof off of a house and pulling out a lightbulb. Had to add that latch! So when opened, the actual card is inside:

We didn't have the opportunity to hand this one to him, but we were able to give it to his Management to give to him. So hopefully they will pass it on!
