So Much - Dirty Scraps Challenge #2

Layout for Challenge #2 at Dirty Scraps (the first being on the design team).

This was a hard but good layout to do and I'm so happy there's a new challenge blog making prompts that can really help you dig under the surface.

I did the photos using packing tape transfers - it was a wondrous thing accomplishing in real life the same thing photoshop does! It got my brain juices going about other ways to use opacity and transparency in real life...

And, oh yeah, i did a tutorial on how to do these a couple of months ago at gauche alchemy which is
here.

  3. Lookin at this again and was thinkin that those wrinkles help convey some of that emotion.

ha ha joyce - didn't realize you were PST? I'm sitting here watching TV desperately wanting to feel creative but am not :(

  5. Woke up with the idea that strips of plastic grocery bags braided and then put on my kiddy loom might work so as I sit here braiding I am thinking about the new prompt over at AYITLOAAJ and the words saturation and thanks to you- opacity and transparency and birds and how they all fit together. I'm also thinking about the awesomeness your brain is whippin' up. I put straight food coloring into a spray bottle as part of the masking this morning and it shows but doesn't show however It looks really cool on brown sackpaper that has white paint and gesso on it. Happy happies.
